Information disorder

3 Stories works to further human-centered and back-end approaches to addressing information disorder, or the proliferation of mis-, dis- and malinformation in our spaces. Services include:

  • PR and thought leadership support for researchers, journalists and organizations
  • Delivering community-based trainings on how to recognize mis- and disinformation and disrupt its spread, as part of the nonpartisan nonprofit Truth in Common — see truthincommon.org
  • Published articles on propaganda and social division, via the Truth in Common newsletter
  • Talks on navigating today’s information ecosystem for professional groups, nonprofits and corporations

Mission Partners and Cybersecurity for Democracy — As part of the Mission Partners team, 3 Stories provided communications counsel for NYU’s Cybersecurity for Democracy, whose lead researchers were deplatformed by Facebook in August 2021. 3 Stories helped disseminate C4D’s research and testimonies and supported its social media program.
