Our experience in behavior change prompts us to ask “why” and “who” at the outset; we then to use creative thinking and a proven process to produce a roadmap that helps clients achieve their goals and evaluate progress along the way.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
3 Stories specializes in strategic approaches for building more inclusive and welcoming spaces. For both nonprofit and corporate clients, we design and conduct cultural assessments, develop coordinating communications strategies and content, lead communications audits through a DEI lens, coach executives and offer counsel when issues arise. A communications-informed DEI approach keeps audiences in the loop and elevates employee voices while ensuring that messaging is authentic vs for show.
Information Disorder
When falsehoods course through our spaces, informed decisionmaking is tough — and inequities are enhanced. 3 Stories partners with researchers and journalists in tech and cybersecurity to promote back-end solutions and policy, while forwarding human-centered approaches based on best practices in social change. Launched in 2022, Truth in Common is a community of trust that addresses information disorder through relationship- and skill-building that bridges our divisions. The initiative features a workshop series, space for digital discourse and a newsletter that offers clarity on issues that are confusing and sometimes, contentious as well.

Deanna started the nonprofit branding function at Vanguard Communications and helps mission-driven organizations both assess and strengthen their brands.
