Client Stories

For a trade association in the corporate governance space that wanted to improve internal culture and retention, 3 Stories developed a research protocol and led a series of focus groups and leader interviews that yielded a deeper understanding of the behaviors, communications, systems and processes that were affecting the organization’s ability to achieve its goals. Working with partners at The Silverene Group, Deanna led the process to analyze data and report recommendations such as addressing micro and macro-aggressions, training leaders, eradicating bias from the talent lifecycle, and revamping internal communications to be more organized and intentional. Deanna co-led strategy workshops with leadership, the diversity and inclusion team and the director group while coaching on trust, authenticity and more.

For a major insurance company, Deanna trained and coached the company’s DEI Council, HR staff and Partner Group on the critical role communications plays in any successful DEI initiative. She wrote talking points, key messages and advised on tone; led the development of DEI brand assets; provided a plan and calendar that was used to schedule DEI communications by audience; identified creative opportunities for education and engagement; advised on repackaging the organization’s Alternative Work Arrangements (AWA) policy and practices; and developed a DEI toolkit for leaders and managers.

For a global hunger organization, Deanna led an assessment of the organization’s communications capacity and perspective on DEI that included one-on-one interviews and focus groups with staff. Her team led a strategy lab to present findings and recommendations to the client and assisted with HR strategy development in the aftermath.
